I know from applying for a Primary School place for my son, the whole process can be a minefield. This book however does explain and simplify the whole application process. I didn’t know how the system worked and from reading the book I think I was very very lucky that my son got the place he did! Baby’s bath time can be a wonderful fun time as well as one of the daily chores you need to do when you have a new baby.
As you baby gets a bit bigger there are many games you can play at bath time
Share a bath
Listen to music, sing a relaxing song or put in some bath toys and play. It’s a great bonding experience. For safety reasons, be sure not to fill the bath too high or too hot, and always have a firm hold on your baby.

If I am honest, when I was pregnant, I was more scared about having a C-section than a natural birth. I understand that some women are very anxious about birth and labour, and for them a C-section is the lesser of two evils.
If the woman or the baby’s life is at risk during labour she will be rushed to theatre for an emergency C-Section, and this could safe one or both lives and we should be grateful for the skill of surgeons that do save so many lives in this way. What we are talking about here is elective C-sections, that is planning to have surgery instead of a natural birth. Some women do this for medical reasons, they have talked with their doctor and surgery will be the safest way to bring their baby into the world.
Other women are anxious about birth, this could be due to a previous difficult labour, or a perceived view of labour. This fear can be overwhelming. Read more »
