What do you do when you are exhausted and just need your baby to sleep and they won’t?
What do you do if you have no idea what to expect from your newborn?
Babies don’t come with a manual, and they certainly never behave as you want or expect them to.
Baby sleep – please! provides practical, common sense advice that works. Real families have used these methods for generations to help their babies sleep.
We asked the author what made her write the book,
“I was lucky with my son, but that didn’t stop me worrying all the time about whether his sleeping was normal. My friends weren’t as lucky as me. Some parents go through so much and try so many things to try and help their baby sleep.”
You can download Baby sleep – Please! from iTunes
This is the best mothers day card EVER! Not only does my son think I look like this – apparently it does have a remarkable likeness to me! I beg to differ.
Easy to make, all you need is
- A4 card folded in half to make the actual card
- Coloured card or paper for the face
- Wool for the hair
- Leftover material

When I first saw this I found it so funny. Every parent I show it to finds it funny.
The toddler rules of possession
- If I like it – it’s mine.
- If it’s in my hand – it’s mine.
- If I can take it from you – it’s mine.
- If I had it a little while ago – it’s mine.
- If it’s mine, it must never appear to be yours in ANY way.
- If I am doing or building something ALL the pieces are mine.
- If it looks just like mine it is mine.
- If I saw it first – it’s mine.
- If you are playing with something and you put it down, it automatically becomes mine.
- If it’s broken, it’s yours.
- If it’s broken, but you are having fun playing with the pieces, it’s mine again.
- If there is ANY doubt, it’s mine.
(Kevin McHugh)
Are all toddlers this predictable? Do they all find it almost impossible to share? Um yes, I think so.
